on October Wrap

It’s last days of October and time to wrap the monthly Treespotting.
As I’m writing this, I realized I haven’t been funny for a while. I should remember to take my medication. Watch me.

Much of October was Ramadan and it’s not a good month to blog since I experience fewer scandalous blog-worthy accidents. Earlier in the month lots were said on the sensibilities of local expats followed by my discovery of the Jakarta Idiot Support group. Later I read in Slate that this is common worldwide. Tim Footman confirms this. I’m convinced. Good girls stay at home, bod boys go everywhere.

I also wrote something about names, which was totally random and has no particular context (well, at least i can’t really remember why i wrote that). And on the subject of names, the Wizard shows me this and it got me totally hooked. I run tests with the names of my exes and they’re showing a pattern.

It was also the holy month, so naturally there was that post about God and Richard Dawkins which leads to some interesting other things. I’ve questions, many of them. Perhaps November is the time to answer them. I also consumed slightly more than usual reading. I will do more on this next week when I’m less mushy.

Yes, there’s always the copious amount of mushy stuff.
Nothing too excessively out of character. I been accused of being mellow to the point of shamelessness. This one is my own. Earlier in the month, we ‘agreed’ not to bother each other anymore. I said I would stop calling and stuff. Later in the month we agreed to jump on planes and meet again. I’m still trying to make sense of that.
You’ll know more in the next few weeks and so will I. I’m brimming with anticipation.

Speaking of going to Melbourne, nobody yet wins the U2 tickets but you guys are getting pretty close.

UPDATE: First thunderstorm of the season, massive leaks in the house. Maids aren’t back yet. Books are wet and relocated. Chaos returns. Bought books, DVDs and games. Bulls beats Heat, ugly game. Back later.
